The Adventure

Armed only with curiosity, a tape recorder and a list of questions covering love, sex, commitment, marriage and family, I set out in search of real love.  The lack of letters after my name allowed the men to relax and speak freely, that and a promise of anonymity.  I could be their wife or girlfriend or sister.  But the good part was I was not.

“Marriage beats the dignity out of people.”

                                                                 ---Chris, 46, married

“This happens to me all the time. These girls will go out on my

boat with me, take off all their clothes and make me have

               sex with them.”

                                                                    ---Jerry, 49, single

“I don’t think that love is a feeling.  Love is my word.  When

I say, “I LOVE YOU”  I’ve given you my word.  Now I have to

create that love.  Not on how I feel, but because I said so.”

                                                                     ---Kurt, 35, married
